What does web analytics mean to you?
Unless you are a computer guru or website developer web analytics probably means
nothing to you. Well it's definitely something very important you need to learn about if you want your
web site to succeed. Using web analytics you can see on reports where customers coming from, ie. Google. Where they gone on your site and even what page they were on when they left your site. All this information can better inform you of areas on your site that might need work or some sprucing up.
It's 3 A.M. Do you know where your web site is?
If you don't know day in, and day out, where your
web site is in terms of Rank and Position, you don't have an idea of the best
way to advertise for greatest effect. Most companies believe if they have
a web site it will do well, because their business is doing well off line.
How many customers come into your shop on a daily basis? Actual "though
the door and look around" type customers. How many of those convert to a
sale? What do you do when the conversion ratio goes down? Put up
sales signs? New banners on the front windows? Maybe take an ad out
in a newspaper telling everyone that a sale is going on? These are great
things to do, but as you well know, each one of these in and of itself, doesn't
always work.
Don't you wish there was a magic button?
Magic button? Of course you do. Every business wishes for a magic button to bring them customers. On the internet the biggest magic button is knowledge of how your customers travel to, around, and from your site. Website Analytics!
